On November 1, 2010 at 9 a.m. PST, 2011 San Diego Comic Con passes went on sale. For the first time in SDCC history, both 4-day and single day passes went on sale at the same time. Anxious fanboys and girls flooded the SDCC website and caused the servers to crash. SDCC officials closed registration and posted an apology on their website saying that registration is postponed until they can find the cause of the registration crash. They will announce a new date for registration to commence on Nov. 8th.
