Joss Whedon Confirmed To Write And Direct "Avengers 2" 

And Also Possibly Develop Marvel TV Series

Today in a Disney investors conference call, it has been confirmed that Joss Whedon has signed on to write and direct the sequel to this summer's highly successful "The Avengers." It was also stated that Whedon is also on board to develop a live action television series featuring Marvel characters set in the same cinematic universe.
While details about "Avengers 2" and the TV series are scarce at the moment, fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the franchise is still in good hands. Stay tuned for more news as it develops.

Kick Ass "Kicks Ass" On New Home Releases

Lionsgate Pictures announced this morning that "Kick Ass" debuted at number one on the DVD sales chart. The Blu-ray combo of the movie, which contains three discs (Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital Copy) was also number one on it's respective chart. In addition, the movie was also a top download for iTunes store, Zune, and Sony/Playstation store. It is also the biggest performance ever for a digital release by a Lionsgate title.
