From one alien movie to the next....sorta. Jon Favreau (the director of the Iron Man franchise) flew in to Comic Con specially from the set of his new movie, Cowboys and Aliens to give respect to his fans and because he likes the energetic environment to build up hype for his films.. As a special surprise he brought with him, Daniel Craig (007), Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy) and making his first Comic Con appearance - Harrison Ford!!! That was by far the biggest applause up to that point. Yes, Indiana Jones/Han Solo/Jack Ryan has never appeared at Comic Con before! And to top it off, plus to play on the stabbing situation, he came out handcuffed and surrounded by security. To top it all off, Favreau brought footage! Imagine a true, old-fashioned Western movie being shot authenticly, none of those "weird 3D effects." The movie really looks like a true cowboy flick, that is until an alien ship invades the town and blows it to smithereens. The cast and Jon Favreau promised even more footage at next year's Comic Con and wanted to thank the fans for supporting the film being made. We were also given a ticket to go pick up a limited edition tshirt for Cowboys & Aliens.
Speaking of Jon Favreau/Iron Man, our next set of panels were for the next set of Marvel superhero films, Captain America and Thor. Check it out - believe me, this will be the biggest post of the weekend!
