Now that the entire cast has pretty much been announced, more details about the plot of X-Men: First Class are emerging, and it sounds effing AWESOME!
We're hearing that the film takes place in 1960's reality where there is James Bond-esque 'retro-future technology,' with John F. Kennedy as President and Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X strongly featured in the backdrop.
The story will focus on Magneto and Professor X's friendship and its subsequent deterioration, and Xavier will not be bald nor in a wheelchair. The movie will explain how that happens! We'll also get to see costumes that are inspired more from the old comics than the recent films!
Although a young Cyclops and Jean Grey will not appear, we've got it confirmed that Kevin Bacon will be portraying the villainous Sebastian Shaw, and January Jones WILL be The Hellfire Club's White Queen, Emma Frost!
This movie seems to be shaping up pretty well. It also seems to be more faithful to the comics than the first trilogy. What are your thoughts?
